We will be doing four charity knitting projects for 2018! Additional monthly charity knit projects will also be featured in the Newsletter.

Links are provided for these projects; however, please feel free to substitute another pattern of your choice. There are so many wonderful choices on Ravelry.

Twiddlemuffs: We are knitting and crocheting twiddlemuffs for Alzheimer's patients in our community. They are large muffs decorated with assorted items which patients can "twiddle" with their fingers which serves to relieve anxiety. Collection is ongoing--please bring finished twiddlemuffs to our guild meetings. Here are a few patterns or you can choose your own!

Preemie Hats for Mission Hospital: Always a favorite charity project, we will be collecting knit or crocheted preemie hats at all guild meetings throughout 2017. These items should be prepared using an acrylic yarn.

Hats and Mitts for Waynesville Middle School: We had a banner number of hats and mitts knit and crocheted last year for our WMS students in need and will be continuing this project again for 2017. Mitts are in high demand as are slouchy, colorful hats. Collection will be at our November 2017 meeting.
